In the Park and Workshop Unit, we are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's green areas and public outdoor environments. The park section consists of 15 employees who manage playgrounds, forests, parks, squares, beaches, and sports facilities. We also take care of the municipality's properties with outdoor environments at schools and preschools.

The Park and Workshop Unit collaborates closely with the Street and Traffic Unit on many assignments. We also carry out tasks for several other parts and operations within the municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your work will include all common tasks related to green area maintenance. Your tasks will primarily consist of lawn mowing and trimming, weeding, cleaning, playgrounds, summer flower planting and maintenance, and the operation and supervision of public parks, green areas, and beaches. You will be involved in planning your and your team's daily work.

You, along with your colleagues, are responsible for ensuring that tasks are performed correctly and safely, and that together you create a welcoming, pleasant atmosphere and good working environment. You may bring an intern with you while performing your tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who enjoys a varied and flexible outdoor job.

For the position, you must be able to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written. Computer skills are a prerequisite as some administrative tasks are included in the work.

Requirements: B driver's license for manual transmission, education and/or previous experience in gardening or another relevant field.

We place great importance on your personal qualities and see that you should be self-reliant, responsible, service-oriented, solution-focused, and able to handle stress. You can work both independently and in a team.

Preferred qualifications: Chainsaw ABC, Brushcutter RA/RB, Work on the Road, BE license.
